THE RESORT
Little River Golf & Resort is located just 4 miles north of Pinehurst/ Southern Pines, and 1 mile south of Carthage and is within easy driving distance of most of the area's major shopping, cultural, and recreational opportunities for residents and visitors. Formerly a dairy and cattle farm owned by the Tufts family to provide food for Pinehurst, Little River Golf & Resort is now a full service resort located in the very popular Pinehurst region of North Carolina. With one of the most attractive topographic layouts in the market, this scenic 630-acre resort offers a breathtaking view of rolling hills, pastures, ponds, and wetlands.
THE FACILITIES
The property consists of a fully matured and operating 18-hole championship golf course with a unique driving range converted from a 1.25 mile horse track, a putting green, a beautiful 2-storey clubhouse facility and an outdoor swimming pool. The resort features a restaurant, a pub-style bar, a covered patio area with a beautiful view overlooking the first tee lake, a spacious golf pro shop and a top class conference centre space.
GOLF COURSE
The course was designed by Dan Maples, a renowned golf course architect and Pinehurst native, and opened for play in 1996. In its current configuration, the course runs 6909 yards from the back tees, carries a 73.9 rating and 132 slope, all considered competitive for this market.
The course features a number of picturesque holes and unique experiences for the golfing guests. The fully paved cart path winds around a variety of landscapes, including hilltops, wetlands, woods, creeks, ponds, and former pastures. The Bermuda grassed fairways lead up to the Crenshaw Bentgrass greens, all fully matured and in top condition.
RESIDENTIAL COMPLEX
The residential complex of Little River Golf & Resort will comprise of condos, single family homes, cottage homes, fractional villas, a hotel and a retirement village.
