Oceânico's first development, Jardim de Meia Praia near Lagos, was launched in 2002 and completed in 2004. The development comprises a total of 66 units: 44 three-bedroom apartments and 22 two- and three-bedroom townhouses, with a swimming pool, tennis court and restaurant.
Estrela da Luz opened in March 2005, offering luxury accommodation in the traditional Algarve resort of Praia da Luz. Launched to the Irish market in February 2003, 27 apartments from the first phase of 74 where sold in the first two and a half hours. The 146 apartments are in a prime location, with on-site facilities including three swimming pools, restaurants, state-of-the-art gym, beauty centre and a multi-purpose sports area including an all weather surface for tennis, basketball and Football.
The recently completed Vila Baia, also in Praia da Luz, is a luxury development with a Roman feel to reflect the history of the location. Less than 200 metres from the beach, it comprises 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom apartments, with penthouse apartments having a mezzanine floor and 3/4 linked villas. Facilities include two large swimming pools, a childrens pool and playground, a multi purpose sports pitch, a tennis court and an Italian restaurant.
Developments currently being finalised include Belmar Spa & Beach Resort, overlooking Porto de Mós beach between Lagos and Praia da Luz. This five star health & beauty spa includes a gymnasium, aerobic studio, hydrotherapy pool, indoor pool, four outdoor swimming pools & two tennis courts, restaurants and bars. The 189 residences comprise one, two and three bedroom apartments, two bedroom townhouses and exclusive spa bedroom suites.
Quinta do Monte Funchal on the prestigious Funchal Ridge is an exclusive six hectare development of 16 luxury villas with spectacular views that stretch from Praia da Luz in the west to Meia Praia in the east. The ridge is the Western Algarve's premier property location, with the development offering a variety of individually designed villas of up to 500m², with plots averaging 2500 sq m.
Recently launched Oceânico developments include Amendoeira - a €500 million golf and leisure resort in the district of Silves, inland from The Algarve. The 640-acre development is designed to be one of the finest golf resorts in Europe, with two championship courses - one designed by Nick Faldo and one designed by Christy O'Connor Jnr, alongside a range of sporting and leisure amenities.
The Amendoeira residences range from luxury four and five bedroom villas with private swimming pools, to three bedroom villas with an optional swimming pool, and two- and three- bedroom apartments with a communal pool. All properties have views of the golf courses, with phase one scheduled for completion early 2009.
Oceânico has also launched its new Stepping Stones purchasing solution. With Stepping Stones investors no longer need to purchase an apartment or villa outright - instead buyers can invest 25% of the purchase cost, while enjoying all of the benefits of owning an overseas property.
Stepping Stones investment is available from €70,000 / £50,000 for a 25% equity share in a four-star apartment such as at Vila Baía. Stepping Stones is also available on Amendoeira Golf Resort. Investors can enjoy the property for three months of the year on the Stepping Stones rotational scheme, with the option to use the months for holidays or rental income.

The company is owned by Gerry Fagan and Simon Burgess. Simon is a qualified quantity surveyor, and was a director at Charles Church, prior to setting up his own UK development company. He moved to Portugal in 1999 and was introduced to Gerry Fagan in 2000. Gerry worked for Ireland's Campbell Bewley Group for over 25 years prior to moving into property development, and relocating to Portugal in 1999.
